Athlete Development

Athletes of all levels are welcome

Increase your off-road challenge as your skill and fitness levels increase

We genuinely encourage people of all abilities and backgrounds to be part of the X-Adventure events so you can revel in the magnificent landscape we race through, be part of the enthusiastic race atmosphere that permeates the event and to achieve that sense of satisfaction you get when you have pushed yourself and achieved your goals. Come and be part of the action!

X-Adventure Dunsborough provides a neat pathway into off-road triathlons to encourage and assist those starting out int the sport and younger participants.

Junior participants

Start out with the Groms X-Adventure, designed for kids up to 8 years of age.

Then progress to the Kids X-Adventure, designed for kids aged 8 to 14 years.

Then when you’re ready or once you’ve turned 14 years of age, step up to the Short Course X-Adventure, either as an individual competitor doing all three legs or in a relay team.

Newcomers to off-road triathlons

Just getting into the hang of this off-road triathlon business?

Start off in a relay team and just do one leg as part of a team. It’s a great fun, social way to get into an event such as this.

Or if you’re keen to tackle all three legs yourself, you can start with the Short Course and then progress to the Long Course once you’re feeling more confident and your skill levels increases.

Aquathlon-X

Now back for a third year, the 2020 aquathlon is a “swim – run” event in an off-road environment. So if you are unsure about, or don’t have a mountain bike then this is the event for you. It is also scheduled so that people can race the short course on Saturday and then the Aquathlon on Sunday for a double-header weekend!
