  • The Standard Fee applies from the time entries open in October until online entries close at 8:00am (AEDT) Tuesday 29 March 2022.
  • Entries received on the day are those received at race registration.

Triathlon WA off-road State Championships 2022

Due to the Long Course event’s inclusion as a Triathlon WA off-road State Championship in 2022, there are minimum age limits for this event in accordance with Triathlon WA policy. Rapid ascent regrets that we are unable to include younger competitors this year; our approach has always been to welcome competitors of any age. We appreciate your understanding.

Relay team members must be 17 years of age as at 31 December 2021.
Individual entrants must be 18 years of age as at 31 December 2021.

Selection Consideration

Triathlon WA off-road State Championships:-

  • To be considered for the WA State Champsionship awards, you must be a Triathlon WA member (TWA).
  • To be eligible for points towards the Triathlete of the Year Award, you must be a  Triathlon WA member (TWA).
  • If you did NOT input your TWA member number in the online entry process, please email your membership number to [email protected] asap.

ITU World Championships Qualifying Eace 2022:-

  • To qualify for the ITU Multisport World Championships in 2022, you must be a Triathlon Australia member. Ensure you are signed up by midnight the Thursday prior to race weekend. For membership information CLICK HERE

Day Membership

  • Any individual competitors who are not TA or TWA members require a One Day Membership to compete in the Long Course event; this will be charged automatically during the entry process ($10).
  • A fee of $10 will automatically apply for all teams.
  • Please note that competing under a One Day Membership does not entitle you to Triathlon WA off-road State Championships awards or ITU World Championships Qualifying.

ENTRY AND REFUND POLICY 

Refund Policy

If a competitor withdraws at least 23 days prior to event day they have the option of a credit or refund:

  • Credit: Credit towards another Rapid Ascent event – less a 10% administration fee
  • Refund: A refund will be offered, less 25% administration fee

If a competitor withdraws less than 23 days before event day:

  • No credits or refunds will be issued

Covid-19 Withdrawal Policy

What If I cannot attend the event due to Covid-19 restrictions?

If you unable to attend the event based on Covid-19 restrictions in place 5 days prior to the event then you have the following options;

  • Credit: Credit towards another Rapid Ascent event – less a $25 administration fee
  • Refund: A refund of your entry fee, less $75 administration fee

Transfer Policy

  • Transfer of individual race entries are NOT permitted.
  • Providing there are spaces available, a runner may transfer from a higher entry fee event/category to a lower entry fee event/category before 8:00am AEST on the Tuesday before event day. In this case, the difference between the two entry fees will not be refunded.
  • Providing there are spaces available, a runner may transfer from a lower entry fee event to a higher entry fee event up to 8:00am AEST on the Tuesday before event day – no admin fee will be charged. Any entry upgrades requested after 8:00am AEST on the Tuesday before event day will incur a $15 upgrade fee (plus entry fee difference), to be paid at race registration.
  • Changes to team composition (changing legs or changing a team member) can be made up until online entries close at 8:00am AEST on the Tuesday before event day. Any changes made at race registration will incur a $15 fee.

EVENT RESCHEDULING / CANCELLATIONS

If the event is deemed unsafe or unable to be held on the proposed date, the following steps shall be followed:

  • Rapid Ascent will endeavor to reschedule the event to another date with all entries transferring to the new date
  • If the new event date is more than 23 days after the original date and you are unable to attend a competitor may withdraw from the event according to the refund policy above.
  • If the new event date is within 23 days of the original date and you cannot attend you can receive a race credit to any Rapid Ascent event less a 25% admin fee

Note:

  • Rapid Ascent reserves the right to alter or amend the originally proposed course(s) from that which was published on the event website for any reason
  • Advice of any event postponement or change will be made on the front page of the event website as early as possible before the event, and will be posted to the official race notice board at the registration marquee.
