XTERRA Short Course
Categories
The following categories will be recognised at the XTERRA Short Course off-road triathlon:
Individuals
Solo competitors who complete the entire course alone:
- Youth A (14 – 15yrs) Male / Female – XTERRA Junior World Qualifier (see below)
- Youth B (16 – 17yrs) Male / Female – XTERRA Junior World Qualifier
- Junior (18 – 19yrs) Male / Female – XTERRA Junior World Qualifier
- Prime (20 – 39yrs) Male / Female
- Veteran (40 – 49yrs) Male / Female
- Vintage (50 – 59yrs) Male / female
- Masters (60+ yrs) Male / Female
Relay Teams of up to 3
A relay team with either 2 or 3 competitors who divide the course between them (either doing one leg each if a team of 3 or one person doing 2 legs if a team of 2).
- Minor Team (all competitors under 15yrs) Male / Female / Mixed
- Junior Team (all competitors aged between 16yrs and 18yrs) Male / Female / Mixed
- Male Team
- Female Team
- Mixed Team
All age categories are according to your age on 31 December 2024
Awards and Prizes
INDIVIDUAL: 1st, 2nd and 3rd in all recognised individual categories in the XTERRA Short Course (as listed above) will receive a custom event medal / trophy / item in recognition of their achievement..
RELAYS: 1st, 2nd and 3rd in all recognised team categories in the XTERRA Short Course (as listed above) will receive a custom event medal / trophy / item in recognition of their achievement.
Random prize draws
In addition to the above, some awesome random draws will be made on the day, with a swag of goodies up for grabs for all participants.

XTERRA Junior World Championship qualification
In 2024 XTERRA will be conducting a Junior World Championship event alongside their adult world championships. This will be open to juniors who have qualified by competing in one of their recognised qualification events. This is a terrific opportunity for any junior triathlete.
